Blind rivets, also known as pop rivets, are mainly used for applications where there is no access to the rear of the joint. Rivets have a two-piece construction, the rivet body, shell or hat, and the stem or mandrel. Once seated in a pre-drilled hole, a riveting tool draws the mandrel to deform the body and fasten the joint.
